WHAT IS RPL
RPL is a way to assess and validate the skills and knowledge someone has gained outside of formal
educational programs, such as through on-the-job training, volunteer work, or other life
experiences.

HOW IT WORKS
The RPL process typically involves:
Identifying relevant learning experiences: Individuals need to identify the skills and knowledge they
want to have recognized.

• Gathering evidence
  They then need to gather evidence of those skills and knowledge, such as work samples, testimonials, or other documentation.
• Assessment
  An assessor will evaluate the evidence to determine if it meets the requirements of the
  qualification or training program.
• Recognition and credit
  If the assessment is successful, individuals can receive credit for their prior learning, which
  can lead to various outcomes, as mentioned above.

RPL can assist in performing Trade Test, it must be understood, the candidate must conform to the
number of year (exposure) in the technical sector or field,
